Go on a Cruise this Summer
There was a time where cruises were not so popular and too many people thought that it was an expensive way to spend their holidays. But it seems that these times are far behind us and it appears that more and more people go on a cruise for their holiday.
If you search on the internet for cruises you will find that there are cruises for everyone and at various prices. If you want to go on a cruise in the Baltic Sea and enjoy the amazing Norwegian fjords, then you will surely find something to suit you, but if you prefer a cruise in warmer seas like a tour of Mediterranean countries or the Caribbean, then there is also something specific for you. Some places in the world are very famous for their scenery and are best seen on a boat. The Halong bay in Asia is probably the best example with its thousands islands. A cruise is also a great solution if you want to see many Greek islands in a week or two or if you want to discover as much as possible in the Caribbean Sea. There are also plenty of cruises available on rivers if you are not too comfortable at sea. You can go to the Nile and discover the pyramids and the ancient Egypt, but also go on a cruise in the Danube river and go through different east European countries.
Cruises are so popular that some companies have come up with more ideas to attract as many people as possible. You can now join cruises only for singles, children free cruises, gay cruises and many other variations to suit you as best as possible.
The boats used for all these cruises vary in size but are usually very big, with some boats being sometimes as high as a building and extremely long. These monsters of the seas are built to entertain and provide top quality services to people in board. You will often find three or four different restaurants, nightclubs, cinemas, many swimming pools, casinos and so many other things that you could easily need a whole week to visit the boat itself.
But if you do not feel safe on a boat and prefer a proper brick and mortar hotel and a beach next to it, then you should consider La Manga club Spain or Forte Village Sardinia. There are many more destinations like Abama or Sheraton Algarve so choose wisely depending on what you want.

The Cannes film festival
The Cannes Film Festival is one of the oldest film festivals in the world that was created shortly after the second world in nineteen forty six in Cannes. Originally, the idea of this film festival was born in the nineteen thirties when some people were shocked by the interference of Germany and Italy in the decisions over which movies should win in the Venice film festival. Interestingly, Cannes was not the first obvious choice of city to host this film festival, and the city was competing with other French cities like Vichy and Biarritz or Algiers in French Algeria. There are around fifteen different awards that can be won on this film festival, with the most well known and the one thought after by every film present at the Cannes film festival being the golden palm rewarding the best film.
There are a lot of other well known film festivals in the world that, even if they are not as famous as the Cannes Film Festival, are still extremely good and important. The world first film festival was actually held in Venice before the Cannes film festival in 1932.
Venice and the golden lion award, or Berlin and its golden bear are among these well known film festivals but don't have the same success as Cannes.

Studying abroad
The main purpose for students in the UK or the USA to study abroad is going to be to improve your skills in another foreign language. Yes people, the world isn’t all English!
Going abroad is probably one of the best ways to learn a new language or improve your skills.
But you can also go abroad in a country where people speak the same language. An English student could go to New Zealand or Canada to study. In this case, it is a perfect opportunity to broaden their world of understanding and discover a different way of doing. It is also a great way to combine travelling and studying! Most of us probably dream to go to Australia or New Zealand! So what’s better than spending a year or two studying there and travelling around on your time off!
Going abroad is also sometimes the best way to go to a foreign university where they teach a subject or are extremely good at a particular subject you want to study.
Going abroad is always great fun and an amazing experience. So when you can do it while studying that’s even better!
